RECOGNIZED COUNTRIES

Amefri
Political Order: Monarchy
Area: Approximately 6,230,000 sq km
Population: Approximately 17,000,000
Capital: Torok
Main Cities: Torok (8,346,000), Tatra (5,542,000), Tais (2,912,000) Official Language: Amefrian-Common
Primary Religion: The Four Corner Pillars (Suzaku, Genbu, Seiryuu, Byakko - and of course Meiphied); most people are ignorant to religion unless actually involving themselves in the clergy, however.
Primary Species: Human (75%), Ebon (15-20%), Elves, anthro (5-10%)

Amefri was once the behemoth of the world. Having been nearest to the elves and other magically developed structures before the Sanguinarian, they held up strongly against the attacks in their main cities. Only the original capital - Amefri, Amefri - fell during an onslaught. Before the land of Mervania was found to be liveable, and Tomet's restoration project was started, most of the survivors of the world escaped to Amefri, making it efficiently the largest coutnry in the world, until a recent war divided it from its city states.

At one point, it was the only remaining country in the world, before a trivial conflict severed Amefri into three parts. Amefri, Western Amefri, and Southern Amefri. These will be covered later.

Guarded by high-rising walls, a compilation of the greatest monuments in all marks of society now, touches of Greecian, Gothic, Tribal, and Fantasy worlds coincide. The Gothic carries on in the encompassing walls of the cities, and many of the building structures - some carrying a greecian touch; the knowledge of the Amefrians who were parallel to the greeks rests in the libraries, or that which wasn't lost. Dreamcatchers and other similar "tribal" creations still carry on, but for little more than knick-knacks and having lost their meaning to most.

City-states are allowed independance for the most part, but still fall under the national flag of Amefri. Under written agreement, in times of: War, famine, pestulence or other emergency, the city-states are required to answer to the heed of the King, whose castle rests at Torok.

Amefri is the country most actively involved in the slave trade, and the most active supporter of it. It's a large part of the economy.

In spite of the active support of the slave trade, the royal family prides itself on its activity in religion somehow making it better than the other people who are ignorant to it, too.

Eke
Political Order: Monarchy
Area: Approximately 4,945,000 sq km
Population: Approximately 9,000,000
Capital: Torok
Main Cities: Eke (6,994,000), Ueda (2,091,000)
Official Language: Amefrian-Common
Primary Religion: The Four Corner Pillars (Suzaku, Genbu, Seiryuu, Byakko - and of course Meiphied); most people are ignorant to religion unless actually involving themselves in the clergy, however.
Primary Species: Human (75%), Ebon (15-20%), Elves, anthro (5-10%)

One of the divisions from Amefri, Eke still holds to many of the definitions and specialties of its larger counterpart, if only holding a grudge and slightly different political slant and a greater fixation on fishing and port.

Tokak
Political Order: Monarchy
Area: Approximately 7,004,000 sq km
Population: Approximately 23,000,000
Capital: Torok
Main Cities: Tokak (7,402,000), Subar (5,643,000) , Tatra (5,542,000) , Kagask (4,233,000)

One of the divisions from Amefri, Eke still holds to many of the definitions and specialties of its larger counterpart, if only holding a grudge and slightly different political slant and having stolen away some of the better farmlands.

Western Amefri / Blomsfuld
Political Order: Monarchy
Area: Approximately 7,105,000 sq km
Population: 57,076,000
Capital: Fen-Huan
Main Cities: Fen-Huan (5,832,000), Tanuk (4,214,000), Lon (3,103,000), Ranid (2,303,000)
Official Language(s): Amefrian-Common, Elven
Primary Religion(s): Athiesm (technically not a religion, but...), The Four Corner Pillars
Primary Species: Human (75%), Ebon (5%), Anthro (5%), Elves (15%)

Western Amefri seperated from Amefri on less than favorable terms. Relying on the mountains to provide a barrier and border between itself and the larger nation, Western Amefri went on to bear a second name, "Blomsfuld", and develop its own population. It developed at about the same rate as its larger counterpart, but on a seperate path. The magic found on the other side will not be identical and, the technology, while at the same level of advancement, has branched off to look wholy different within the last few hundred years. Trollies even litter the land, a high-priced fare to travel from some of the main towns.

Fen-Huan carries an aristocratic heir, having mostly been taken over by royals and nobles - a town for the rich. Supposedly the capital, if there's a castle here, it must be hidden because it's nowhere to be seen.

Farming, particularly stock rearing, is a major activity though less important than formerly in terms of employment for the commonfolk and contribution to the national economy. They have good taps into oil supplies near the mountains.

The slave trade on this part of the world is not completely barred, but nor is it pressed and encouraged to the level of Amefri itself. The amount of slaves would be noticed as marginally less. It is not as large a part of the economy.

Southern Amefri / Granslun
Political Order: Monarchy
Area: Approximately 7,852,000 sq km
Population: 62,560,000
Capital: Shos
Main Cities: Shos (5,732,000), Kukuy (4,323,000), Shih (3,132,000), Tei (2,132,000)
Official Language: Amefrian-Common, Elven
Primary Religion(s): Athiesm, The Four Corner Pillars
Primary Species: Human (45%), Elves (25%), Ebon (25%), Anthro (5%)

Another split-off from Amefri, this land carries an unusually high number of elves. Elves, usually a bit snotty and withdrawn, are coming to accept that there really isn't much land to live outside of everyone else. =P They escaped relatively unscathed from the Sanguinarian as it is, so their numbers have to go somewhere. Granslun and Blomsfuld are where the elves lie, but primarily Granslun. Granslun has no physical barrier between itself and Amefri, beyond the political one. (This'll be shown in a future map...) Their break-off was not as verbally violent, and they hadn't the need to hide behind the mountain barrier.

Granslun, due to not being physically divided from Amefri, is often still refered to by Amefrians as "Southern Amefri". Their technology and magic, due to this reason, progresses at a similar pace.

Fishing is not a major resource, as the water tends to be poluted with ash from Ch'ch-iri nearer to the south which makes for less sea life.

A leading group amongst Granslun are The Magisters, akin to Magical FBI. Respected, and famous for the events against The Cult of the Dead Servant, the badges of the Magisters give them admission to almost any castle, save for their most private of areas.

Mervania
Political Order: Republic
Area: Approximately 400,000 sq km - boundary opinion varies, but is undisputed as no other neighboring lands are about to contest it.
Population: 40,460,000
Main Cities: Mervania (1,475,000) , Nilam (1,250,000) , Selpan (1,000,000) , Nirut (800,000)
Capital: Mervania
Official Language: Amefrian-Common, Common
Primary Religion: Varies - corrupted version of the four-corner pillars.
Primary Species: Beast-Man/Anthro
Primary SubSpecies: Feline

Mervania consists of a strip of land standing out against the desert of what was once the massive and spanning Kingdom of Inmi, surrounded on all but one side by water. One side is continually cold due to being close to old-Ami, if only a small patch of land - anthros suited for that kind of nature tend to gravitate there. Not too great a distance from Tomet Gorge and the current Tomet and Inmi resurrection project, the soon to be risen Tomet Channel and Tomet Sea will run alongside Mervania and may soon end up making the boundary more "official".

Mervania only has a few "large" cities, none of which rival those of the Amefrian ones. Their largest ones are port towns, importing and exporting goods while keeping a line of sentry guards at ready should slave traders try to come to their land.

Mervania was founded approximately 400 years after the Sanguinarian. The people have been living in relative seclusion for several centuries, save for any barter and trade. Travelers are rarely welcome, nor do they have much reason to come to this part of the world anyway. For this reason, Mervania is severely underdeveloped in magic, and defenseless in that realm.

Many farms are small. Any farmers willing to raise animals for slaughter tend to keep sheep, pigs, goats, and cattle. Fishing results are typically good, as there is little competition out here.

Mervania is a prime manufacturer of some of the best buggies, wagons, and other vehicles. Office and household equipment, clothing and shoes, and chemicals are also designed. More advanced machinery than in other parts of the world can be developed in Mervania due to the imports of metal in larger quantities directly from New Tomet, although nothing stellar or "modern" by our terms. Their seperate growth path and focus on technology rather than magic has pressed them close to the Industrial Revolution.

Neo Tomet
Political Order: Monarchy
Area: Approximately 355,000 sq km - boundary opinion varies, as the project is still under work.
Population: 16,000
Capital: New Tomet
Main Cities: New Tomet, Zanden, Delsen, Galedon
Official Language: Common
Primary Religion: The Northern Point (aka... following Genbu); there is a popular Cult of the Black Widow, as well
Primary Species: Xu Huan Ebon

The restoration project of Tomet runs along Tomet Gorge, toward which a channel is being dug from the sea. Surrounded on all sides by desert, this is all but unbearable conditions for anything short of those built for the harshest of desert times. The population, due to this, is currently extremely small. However, in the near future, Flora and Fauna imports will be arriving to make the place more tolerable once Tomet Gorge becomes Tomet Sea due to the channel.

Steel is a major manufacture in Galedon, but exported solely to Mervania, with whom their relations are currently the best - it hasn't yet occured to anyone the turf battles that will arise in the future. Alot of wood is imported, both from Amefri and Mervania, since woods are still in the growing process around and they don't want to start deforestation.

Ch'ch-iri
Political Order: N/A
Area: N/A
Population: ...less than 20
Capital: Fire Shrine
Main Cities: N/A
Official Language: Er, draconic?
Primary Religion: The Southern Point (Suzaku)
Primary Species: Ruby Ryuzoku

Ch'ch-iri is totally destroyed, as were most of the Ryuzoku in that region. However, Byrock & Seiran Krin still survive, as well as two other Ryuzoku. Seiran's health is waning due to age - even dragons get old. It's not much of a civilization really, but it's all that's left of what was once one of the largest kingdoms in the world, large enough to rival Amefri at one time. Karura Ebons and humans used to enhabit this place, but not any longer...

Ami
Political Order: N/A
Area: N/A
Population: Estimated anywhere from 300-600 in Ashtar and a collective 2000 elsewhere
Capital: Water Shine
Main Cities: N/A
Official Language: Draconic
Primary Religion: The Eastern Point (Seiryuu)
Primary Species: Sapphire Ryuzoku, Lonryu Ebon, Cold-Climate Anthros

Like Ch'ch-iri, Ami was annihilated. Only some of the strongest mortal creatures coud tolerate these conditions. With the ice gradually melting and bearing old feudal oriental eras, the population is rising again. In Ashtar, mostly underwater dwelling creatures survive; on the islands, Sapphire Dragons, Draco-Ebons, and cold-resistant anthropomorphs are common

Inmi
Political Order: N/A
Area: N/A
Population: 4,900
Capital: Earth Shrine
Main Cities: N/A
Official Language: Corrupted Draconic
Primary Religion: The Northern Point (Genbu)
Primary Species: Emerald Ryuzoku, Xu Huan Ebons, humans

Just another bit of reminiscence about kingdoms long past. Xu Huan Ebons and humans have remained in close solitude with a dark, Xenophobic society sealed away mysteriously behind heavy walls.
