I'd just like to bring this to moderators' attention. I entered the situation late, under the pretense that he was harassing the players currently in the room (of the RP); under that pretense, I told him that we would conduct our roleplay as we pleased, and he did not like that (even though it was our own usermade room); so, I banned him. The result is as you see.

I'm not sure there's any excuses that can defend him, but I'd like it if my story were the one considered here. If I need logs of everything that transpired between he and I, I can do that.

(The blacked-out blocks are whispers between another user and I. To protect their privacy and mine, as I exchanged e-mails, I blacked it out. If I need unaltered logs, I can have them sent. Another user was witness to this, and more, of the situation, and they were the one who notified me of its transpiring.)

Ban-evading seems to have come up quite frequently, lately. Perhaps there are counter-measures that can be taken?

I believe this falls under ban evasion, but the bug that you can [REDACTED] a room you were banned from has been around for quite some time now.

Hey, the mods get pissed if you talk about security flaws like that.

Also, I 'unno, considering that it was a usermade room. Things work a bit differently for those, don't they?

I'm an Ombudsman. I investigate; I only very rarely legislate (and only in a committee, no man is an island and all that).

Sort of. It's a different level of ban-evasion if it's getting around a user-made room ban.

It's still harassment though.

Also Auvic do me a favor and please edit that post of yours away please.

May I ask that this be dealt with? I don't suspect that's the last we'll see of whoever this is.

Again, if additional evidence is needed, please request it. I can certainly have it provided. (I was, once more, not the only one witness to this incident)

I've sent it to you. Hopefully that can provide some additional insight to the issues at hand.

I believe this falls under ban evasion, but the bug that you can just do the macarena to re-enter a room you were banned from has been around for quite some time now.

You should edit this out, the mods really, really hate it when you talk about this.

Just checking up. Did you indeed get the remainder of those logs, Moon?

Alright, I was accused of Ban Evasion tonight. I was banned for cybering in a public room, yeah, and I was told as such. I was curious, so I tried a different character, to see if I was. I was accused of ban evasion, and told I'd be perma-banned, without being allowed to say anything in my defense, though I did manage to tell the mod in question(Familiar) that he/she banned one character(which I thought was the intent, since I could still log in anyway) and not my IP address, he/she then said he/she'd remedy that, I want to know if I'm perma banned, or not, since the mistake was on both parties involved, not just me, and I don't think I could wait an entire week only to find myself perma banned.
