Alright then! Looks like we have players. Right 'o!  Characters first then! Please no mole speech unless you can provide translation.      Im a bit rusty in mole ...    No cannons please.   We also need a badguy.              Who has the wheels turning?                  I think ill be a pirate-gypsy-wolf-fox... goodguy  Smiley

EDIT: To add character. See below.
/whois Decero

*********************

Decero Slysmile

Fox
Claims to be fox-wolf

Lived for 26 seasons

Decero Slysmile was a fox at heart. His blade and skills, as a spy, thief and trickster, were invalueable for plundering, dealing with woodlanders and otherwise bambooziling the enemy. His tradecraft was learned from his father, who studied the role models all his life.
Farran The Poisioner, Riverwyte "The Mask" "PatchCoat"(All the same person) , Lantur and Wilce of Queen Silth...

Born long after the days those heros, and following in his fathers footsteps, Decero has mastered his talent of guile, stealth and face.
However, recently Decero has felt his own heart beating, and a sense that his masters are wrong. Willingly, he has begun to work against the grind, warning woodlanders, helping RedWall Abbey, and even rising to rank on both sides of the war. He is a master spy, and, although he has been seen walking under his cruel masters banner, most of the woodlanders know of Decero, and know that he is truely for the woodland. He wants peace, just as the Abbey, and knows that he can help win it by spying against the enemy.

I am so totally down for this.  I'll even play the bad guy, if you want me to.

Wot' wot? A scoundrel? Alright Maggots!

xD

No. Of course you could play the badguy. I do have ONE prequiste, or rather, note...

My character will be playing a spy, in some new war, truely alligned with RedWall no matter WHAT he does for the trust of the badguy.

Speaking of which... whats up with the timeline, if any? And, any objection to RedWall being taken over? And then won back to the control of woodlanders? Or multiple baddie armies? Or multiple plots altogether??

What about Salamandstron? Or the west-north-west islands?

 Huh

This is a democracy, and I say let the players decide.

I think that timeline is probably not too much of an issue, aside from a few givens such as Martin is dead, Matthias is probably dead, things like that.  I'd be all for getting Salamandestron involved, but only slightly.  It would not be a very fun RP if every other character running around was a badger lord, now would it?  I wouldn't have a problem with Redwall being taken over, either, since it looks like I would be the one who took it. Wink

If we went with different tribes of baddies, then we could pull off the multiplicity factor, but we should wait until there are several players before trying that, I think.

________________________________

Jace Quickpaw

Fox

21 seasons

Born as a member of a Juska tribe, Jace carries the tattoos of the tribe, a tapering red triangle right beneath his left eye and a blue slash mark across his right eye.  He quickly grew discontent with the Juska and so escaped from their ranks and formed his own "tribe," though he would not dream of calling them Juska-anything.

During his time with the Juskabeasts, he learned to fight and, while he has never been as large or strong as almost every other one of them, he very rarely, if ever, lost a fight.  What Jace lacked in size and strength, he more than made up for with cunning and speed.  His rapier (stolen from a badger that he had killed) quickly became a feared weapon among the tribe and even after he had escaped them, it continued to be something of a symbol of fear.  Almost like a legend among the simple-minded beasts.  "If yer go against the chief's orders, 'e'll sick ol' Jace on yeh," they would mutter around their campfires late at night.

(I did not include more of his history because I did not want to be presumptuous about the whole Redwall capture thing.  Once we get that cemented, I can change it pretty easily.)

Ok. Noted.
Grin Didn't think you'd pick a fox for a badguy, either.

As for the multiple, evil armies, agreed. We should wait.

Not really sure how the campain to retake RedWall abbey will work... perhaps a tunnel dug or... (Recent creativity has inspired the idea of mounted "knights". Hares, squirl or mouse riding small sparrows, blackbirds or hawks and owls into battle)
the release of prisonors and opening of the gates...

And the time before the siege of RedWall? Will small skirmishes be fought on the way? Engagement of the Long Patrol or Guosim?

Keep up the think tank. Get the heads rolling folks!

Ha, I would love to fight against some of the Long Patrol.  The Gausim, not so much because, frankly, they terrify me.  In planning the siege of Redwall, one has to remember that I would almost definitely not have any of the "good guys" available, so tunneling is a probable option.  On that same note, I love foxes in Redwall stories.  I am writing a Redwall story where the protagonist and the antagonist are both foxes.

Nice.

And you might have woodland prisoners!
There are also sparrows and other birds high atop RedWall roofs.

Tunneling or scaling, or (a whole new twist) actually destroying one of the walls, and breaking through the hole created... perhaps they could just ram the gate? Or open it with some device and rope one night?

We could have the first mounted force seen in Mossflower.... using small birds to get many soilders over the ramparts...? Huh
Im full of ideas.

Shit... squirls could shoot arrows into the bell tower or abbey roof, with rop attached, and just zipline in from a very tall tree (or beast made structure), right over the ramparts and dropping in like shock troops.

Haha, that would be utterly terrifying.  Can you imagine brigade after brigade of squirrels just dropping down inside the walls?  Do you have MSN?  That would make this whole planning thing a lot easier, I believe.  Then we could get started much faster than trying to do everything via these forums.

Well, I would really like for this to continue.  I got all excited about it and even drew a picture for my character!  I might just end up having to pirate this RP, if TheeJester doesn't get on top of things.

I'm very interested, but what if Redwall's the only one of them I've read in quite a few years?
