Hi. /whois NaerhallticRP A fight to preserve a culture. The new age is trying to erase a indigonous population. A fight for the preservation of a way of life, a land and its animales, and the souls of those who invade it.
Anyones ideas will be welcome and implemented, providing they run parrellel with this setting. I would love good heads to help me build more of this world I have created.
Anyone who wants to help or join, leave a note here on the thread. Thanks.
Dont care much other than that. Be nice to people. Good roleplay please. You know the drill.
THIS IS THE HUB OF THIS ROLEPLAY The map, rules and regulations, background and lore, characters and everything else will be here, in this thread. Thanks.
The setting is an alternate timeline. A bit of post-neolithic and neandrathal, LIVING people. Those that have chosen to go back to natures ways, and re find themselves as their ancestors. They are human, but they do not live like " nun-taint.("bad taint" or "evil taint") The Others.
These newer humans have adopted stone to build buildings and ships, tools and simple machinery, fleeing from their land and finding Naer-hall-tic(the landmass)to be a good way to start a new, free nation. Hundreds of thousands of newer men betrayed their country, and moved into this land from desperation. They find the local population, a bit... slow, and savage. They see no reason not to hunt for sport, or respect animales and spirits. They take the indigonous population for undeducated monsters, even though they used the help of the LandPeople to survive.
It was many many years ago when the "Tainted"("newer people" "newer person") came with their ships, fleeing their homeland and ruining the land of the main population... and the
... savages... dont like the outsiders. "Naer-hal-tic"
Translated in common as "Land for People." The land is alive, and its people "Hall-naer-tic"(translates: "People of the Land", "People for the Land") are an indigonous population of humanoids, fighting to preserve their culture and way of life. Connected intamitely with the land and its beasts, using both for survival and life instead. They refuse the advancements of people, fearing that all culture will be lost in a storm of metal window in stone buildings, politics and emergence of new faith threatning their own. They hate the shiny amor of the soilder guards, and the way they contain fire in glass carriers.
Because of the ancient lifestyle, in confliction with time and the way humans were then, the People of the Land ( or "Hall-naer-tic" ) have been forced to keep fighting for thier way of life as a dieing breed. Their cultures, their legacy and spirits and way of harmony with the rest of the humans, will die out, they feel.
Since the "Turning",( destruction of land and people, greed toward the natives, and the punishments that followed) the indigonous have kept a much tighter leash on the new parasites. Thier morales wouldnt allow them to turn away a stranger who needed help, but that does not mean "nun-taint"[/u](or "bad-taint" "evil taint") would ever recover their stregenth. The people here meant to stay, had the means to destroy the taint [/u], and could suck the very life from the new humans...
Hunting laws and poilcies were made, as well as a tightly organized, completely new heirarchy among the natives. To act as liason between the newcommers and the indigonous people, they created a network of scouts, ambassadors, spies, thieves and assassins. "yay-taint"("good taint" "tolerable taint") or, a new human that has been found and taken in by the People for Land, turned and welcome into their lives as equals. Never in rank, not being born to the population would prevent them from reaching the highest levels of clan rank. This was a security caution by the " Chief Naer" , to prevent his plans for war, if needed, from falling into the hands of his enemies.
Culture, heairchahy and rank, beast and tree.. food and survival. These were the ways of this land, and the "hall-naer-tic are not going to loose their ways of life... Over their dead bodies.
