By the twenty-seventh century humans have spread out across the stars, their ever-expanding dominion bordered by frontiers without end. The Adventurers' Guild is an ancient organization steeped in a tradition of exploration and daring, and has made its home on the fringe of known space. Its members contract to, among other things, map new worlds, search for treasure, and hunt dangerous alien beasts. Help humanity conquer the galaxy and get paid well in the bargain.

To elaborate, this is a DMed roleplay using dice rolls to determine the consequences of certain actions. When to use dice rolls and what those rolls are are at the discretion of the DM. It's important to know that your character MAY DIE on an adventure. If your character tries something risky - here the dice rolls come into play - and fails, there will be consequences. If characters fail a string of dice rolls, or if they fail a particularly important roll, death will ensue.

I'm looking for (largely) human characters. There's a little bit of leeway, but I definitely don't want superpowered characters running around. Prosthetic limbs, eyes, etc. are allowed, but magic and/or alien characters are not. The AG is an organization of human adventurers living on the edge of known human space. They launch expeditions into uncharted places and come into contact with aliens, but they are not aliens themselves.

A bit on aliens: The aliens encountered in AG-2671 do not have to be technologically advanced, or even humanoid. They could be monstrous, primitive, or even simple bacteria or viruses. That is up to whoever is DMed the scenario. Technologically advanced aliens are certainly allowed, but they aren't the only kind open for use by a DM.

...well that was unexpected lol. Not a bad thing, just totally didn't expect it. Is Thorn heading this one, or are you?
