Question: What sort of mod should Atheism be?
Any sort of mod. (We don't care!)
Global mod. (We think he is ready!)
Arena mod. (His strickness, ability to keep over the drama would surely fair!)
Mainhall mod. (Despite the surpluss of these, MH is still to chaotic!)
No sort of mod. (Kill it with fire!)
Undecided (Be assured any undecideds will be tallied as yeses.)

Oh well. No.

I could see that:
"Atheism clicks on his text bar and types /ban user in order to ban them for the chat for violating the AUP. He then scratches himself and burps before hitting enter. A ragestorm ensues by the friends of the user."

I like the idea in the advertisement thread for this. RP as a global mod, Ath, it'd be funny to watch the confusion (though probably not actually a good idea. Yeah, entertaining but...no)

They may actually get him in a fair amount of trouble.

Quite a lot if I remember right. In fact thats why I went with "no" at the end as he'd end up banned more then likely

Ha. Ha ha ha. Very funny. I can remember the first time this sort of thing went down and the man in question was abruptly shot down. There were various negative reasons, but enough of that.  You see, if Atheism could be a mod at all...if he had even the smallest shred of integrity he would be a moderator already. He can not be trusted with such power as global moderator. Perhaps the moderator of the arena, but that would end in total and utter failure. He can not even handle the simplest of trolling outbreaks anywhere. Oh, not to mention a list of things like holding grudges, hate campaigns and multiple bans does not qualify someone to become a mod. Far from it. That and the fact that he hates all that have defied him in the past and didn't vote for him the first time.   But....as we all already know, this board is not he final say.

To clarify, I've been banned once. It was for thirty days. It was for posting a drawing of an anthropomorphic character being decapitated via hacksaw in a public room. It was a justified /ban performed by SSS. I never contested it.

And yeah, "Rudianos," you are the only one taking this seriously. Also, if I hate everyone, I wouldn't commit the time and effort I commit into collaboration with other players like I do. That's just slander - pure and simply. But, I understand that, for some people, the Internet is srs bizniss.

Take your excess negativity elsewhere; my threads are always amusing - including the one I didn't make.

Has anyone considered making a public 'official statement' thread for the more controversial bans? I mean, the statements don't have to be thorough, but at least the basics could be made public. "So-and-so got banned for ___________. Ask _________ for more details. - By Some Mod."

Could be a terrible idea. I don't know. It's 1:13am and I'm sleepy.

I've occasionally wondered if that should be incorporated into the /ban command.

User GuyMcRulebreaker has successfully been banished for dropping links to porn, or something. Kind of like /private roomname password except replacing password with reason for banning/kicking.

The entire purpose of this would be to shortcut people going "What'd you ban them for, they didn't do anything" if, say, the mod was away at the time and just now scrolled up, discovered something banworthy, and /banned them. People have an awfully short attention span as far as that kind of thing goes, I've noticed.
