From the times that I've ended up in the MainHall from forgetting to set OOC Lobby as where I was entering, it seems like the MainHall is really just... less restrained. More exuberant? Boisterous?

I dunno. Might have something to do with it being the default room, whereas the Lobby just gets a revolving door of people who're used to going to the MainHall when the Lobby gets set to the default and we're goddamn cockbites to new people, almost always, and then we complain and then the MainHall gets set to the default again.

Not sure why most mods tend to hang out in the OOC Lobby, but I figure that's another factor. I'm glad the MainHall's gotten some mods, though - being the default room means, I'm sure, that they get to deal with all the biggest pricks.

Has gotten some. 3 in fact. Thus far fairly impressed.

I think it's just that the "default" sense of humour in the Lobby and Mainhall are different. The Mainhall tends to be comprised of younger people in general, too.

There isn't much of a difference really, less restrained is accurate, and different people. We learn to deal with the 'special' kinds of people in the rooms we hang out in most, and when we visit the other room it seems like the 'special' people in those rooms are much worse when really...we're just not used to them.

Ironically before the MH was OOC I was in the Lobby for a while too.

Also, Xach has a point I'm sure people in the lobby have noticed when they were temporary defaulted: We get some interesting things in there

PS: Fresa, I don't abuse power, only you.

I'll stop sidetracking the thread further now.

We don't really get a whole lot of weirdness, just... within a minute or two, a wall of entrances and exits.

Shane is running on a platform that demands the banning of innocent roleplayers.

Obviously not staff material.

He could be a little quicker with responses to OOC-jabber and trolling, but he seems to do a good enough job. Voted up.

Shane is running on a platform that falls if you step on the center of it, so he has to jump from platform to platform dodging bullet bills and koopa-troopahs, which make things very difficult.

Edit: It has come to my attention that I am not in fact Mario, and that the mushroom I ate a few minutes ago only led to believe that I grew very tall and gained the ability to break bricks with my head, not to mention fling fireballs from my palm.  I apologize for the confusion.

I dont mean to start some OOC lobby -vs- Main Hall debate. Just saying that every single mod seems to come to Modliness by knowing someone in the OOC lobby whether it be another mod or otherwise. This in response to Ker's accusations of people whining -every time-.

Probably because this is the case every time. But Main Hall mods or not, I just hope in the future to see someone outside of that particular soiree get a chance to be a Global Mod instead of being ignored. :/ Not that this is some veiled attempt to put myself up. I'm already admin at GateZero, so I don't need to scrabble for more Nexxushost Scooby Snacks.

Maybe I'd nominate Brooklyn...

As stated earlier, Rook did actually do something about this Pitcheh. Right now, myself, Robochrist-X, and Palehorse are room mods in MH. I'd say thats a pretty good start considering it happened very soon after said complaints were posted on this thread.

And yeah I didn't think Brook was a bad idea either, but apparently MH thought Robo, myself, and Ed were better ideas....and brook isn't logged in quite as often as he used to be.

Anyways back to your regularly scedualed thread.

I thought that was rather cool of him. But...I'm mostly talking Global Modliness, though. Speaking of which, how is said modliness coming along?

Global modliness for Moondog looks to be... pretty much in the bag. Go 'Dog!

I have no idea what other modliness you'd be talking about. If it's about the Mainhall mods, they have a trial period so people can form an opinion, and they'll probably be up for global in a month or two. I dunno, exactly.

Global Modliness always has to start somewhere.
It's never smart to give some one Global power right off the bat.
You gotta see if they can even handle a single room.

In a month or so, probably. Seems to be about the regular period. What, it's not like it's never going to happen.

What tends to happen it Single room -> Default rooms -> Global.

Naru, I don't know what your life was like before we met, but... do  what you think is right, no matter what!  I'll keep looking until I find my
parents, but... you're the most important thing in my life! If not for you, I wouldn't have been able to do all the things I've done! That's why I know you'll do what's best for me--for everyone! C'mon, let's go!

also I voted yes.

This poll has closed and we will be tabulating the poll results and checking for the irregular voting.

For your reference, Moondog was granted Global powers. This is on a contingent basis pending the results of the poll checking, and could be subject to revocation.
