Firefox or IE + Vista = phail (I think it sums up to Vista=phail).

When entering or being active in tk these problems occur often for me on regular basis, with either browser, though firefox is more stable:

1: Infinite green-to-redlight rather than just common refreshing of the screen.
2: Room changes = chat boots which tell me I've entered an incorrect password on the log in screen.
3: Severe chat lag(experienced by myself and others around me) before I get my green light/red light game of tag going with tk.

It's a problem that has occurred on both IE and Firefox. I'm running Windows 7.

If I click on my own /whois, I'm unable to select the 'sign on' button.
If I click on others /whois, I can't scroll.

Basically, I can't 'select' anything in the /whois box.

It's a persistent problem, but it usually fixes itself and starts working correctly again.

This is not a bug. The /whois command is only for viewing data, not editing. For that, you want the /profile command.

However, if you can't even select/mark up text, then that may be an issue...

Yes, I realize how to edit a profile, I just used the '/whois' as the title for that window. Let me clarify.
I cannot select, click, or mark anything in either a /whois or in my /profile.

Well, that is an issue. However, I am uncertain how it can be solved. I've not had such problems before.

Win7, FF and IE. Same errors in both, as stated above.

How tall she is, I cannot say.
And you will never get the secret of caramilk! It is MINE! AND ONLY MINE FOREVER!

So, I was rping in a private room... and suddenly the room wasn't private anymore... a random person that neiter I, nor my rp partner knew was able to enter. This has happened to me in the past, but I just shook it off as a fluke... twice makes it a bit more than a fluke though, and while I personally rarely cyber I can see where this could become an issue if private rooms are becoming public... and unsuspecting victims are wandering into them

I've never seen that happen before.

Could be someone dropped them the room-name and password, though.

Unless the password function for privates has been fixed, then that's the issue.

A while back, it was possible to enter any private room, as long as you knew the name. Password? Didn't matter.

Not sure if that's still the case, but it certainly sounds like it.

Or enter by accident. I think Sid used to have that happen.

Yeah, pretty much the problem I just described.

[edit: by the way, the /invite is broken too - You can't invite to public rooms, as you get the "room names cannot contain spaces", and then get the fucked up version of TK, with ancient web layout]
[edit: password protection is working, appearantly. Browser issues, maybe? I have only tested on Opera. Although, it shouldn't matter what browser is used.]

Possible, but unlikely. It was just me and one other person in the room at the time, and he was just as clueless about what was going on as I was.

And if it helps at all I use FF... whatever the newest version number is, and run Vista... but I really don't think that should effect the room becoming public... and the thing was that the room actually did become public, I logged another name into the MH and refreshed the userlist and the room was listed on it.

Huh. Odd.
I've had that happening in some other versions of the PHPMyChat. Shouldn't happen if you do the /private roomname password thing, though.

Afternoon- So, one of my handles wont get mod powers. I opened the room, tried to promote my friend and got the error "Only a Moderator can use that command." I left the room, then my friend came on and opened it so she had mod-powers. She tried to promote me seventeen times, and every time I tried to use a mod-related command I got the same error. It said I was promoted each time she used the command. Eventually, I just got on another handle and she promoted that handle. My other handle can use moderator commands, what gives?

This one's easy. What happen is that tK keeps track of what rooms you have moderator priveleges in. If you have too many rooms privlege'd (it happens to everyone eventually) you won't be able to add anymore. Just ask a Global Moderator to go in and clear your mod-table, and the problem will go away.

I've already cleared your table, so the next time you want to be a moderator for a room, it will go through, with no hitch. =)

When I create a room and try to use the /describe command I get a message telling me that only mods can use that command, even though I'm the mod of the room.

Same reason as the last one.

What's the user name in question?

For the past few days, I've noticed tK's been lagging to the point that it freezes my browser and forces me to close the window, and I can't get back onto the site for roughly twenty minutes. Happened earlier today around noon EST.
Also, my capslock will randomly reverse itself, to where if I have capslock on, I can only type lower-case letters. It only happens on tK, though. I haven't noticed the problem anywhere else on the internet or in any Word document, so I know it isn't my computer. =/

I'm trying to use Firefox on Vista and whenever I sign in to tK, everything but the chat itself loads. It's just a white screen.

I have no idea why (and I'm certain it will end up being something stupid and easily fixed), but I can't give/take pie here on the forums. I'm tired of being left out of the Pie loop! What's the deal?!
