Please keep us up to date with any bugs you encounter in the keep or in CC. Provide as much information (browser, OS, situations in which the Bug occurred) as you can. Provide screenshots, where possible. If it's a security bug we ask you email us the information instead so we can fix it without the bug being exploited.

My biggest problem may be that I just have a very low powered Mac OSX Jaguar. but for some reason Safari does not at all like the new Keep 2.5. At all. The longest I've kept it running is a half hour before it closes out on me, and then any attempts to log into TK leads to the same glitch, and closing out. If I try to run with IE, its a little laggy, but no closing out.

Am I just unlucky here?

Web: Have also recieved reports of two other Safari users having the same trouble.

Have you installed anything new lately? Such as the Google toolbar, Yahoo toolbar, or any other browser toolbar? They usually have a popup blocker, which would be preventing you from viewing profiles.

Rem, you realized that we switched servers, right? If not, then any popup blockers you might have are likely set for the old server. These can include, MSN, Google, Yahoo,  and Ebay toolbars. Norton is also another one that a lot of people forget.

If you're using the SP2 version of XP, then your IE may have a built in popup blocker. FireFox also has popup blockers. I'll let Webby post on how to change that. It seems troublesome.

Ad blocking programs also will prevent popups from showing. If you have any of these and aren't sure how to turn them off, post what you have and I'll dig up the info on how to add or disable a site to it.

I had to re-set Avant Browser to stick profile pages on the exception list. Didn't take me that long to figure what was up with it...

As for bugs to report...

There are currently 19 user in the chat.... allegedly. Funny, cos I figured 19, being more than 1, would be worthy of an 's' on the end of 'user'... Even "1 users" would suit better than "19 user" ... don't you think?

well...now that you mention it. Norton is the problem. But how do i switch it off is my question. I'd really appreciate knowing how to kill that damn blocker. It's really ticking me off like that itch that you can't scratch you know?

You don't have to switch it off. Bring up the Norton Console, find the popup section and add http://www.nexxuschat.com to the list. Save it and you're done.

For those of you that worry about seeing popups on Nexxuschat, all I can say is this. Not while I'm paying the bill or part of it. I despise popups, forced new windows and anything that can be deemed hazardous to a computer.

That 19 user thing is a coding error from when the chat was created. There is a fix to it but it's such a minor nuisance.... I'll get to it eventually. :p

Actually it says that i dont even have a pop up blocker on there. Norton says Pop-up blocker not available.  And i looked all over the damn thing to try and turn it off. with no luck.

Firefox 1.5.0.2 (UK) in XPSP2.
1) Clicking on the Help button loads the help window twice.
2) Doing /whois (or clicking the name) hits the inbuilt pop-up stopper even if allowed (only seems to happen after about 20 /whois's).

Not sure if either of these are due to Firefox or the new code.

Also, the default colour when changing characters seems to shift to a very lurid pink

edit: I believe I've fixed it now - web

Couldn't the banner be made to refresh only under certain special conditions?

I've been having issues with it cutting me off in the midst of writing a paragraph, and having to manually click the text box again. It does it with annoying frequency.

/whois [alt0160] - works in IE but not in Firefox (brings up an alert window with the message about how it can't be used to end names).

Tried typing the relevant name / whatever in Notepad, copying to the clipboard then pasting it in the text input box? Its what I generally end up doing.

I can only venture a guess since it's been happening to me as well. I login, go into another window to browse another site or whatnot. I might be gone a few minutes to nearly an hour. I'll come back and find that I've 'exited' the room, yet my name is on the userlist (minus the italics). I can only think that for some reason the chat is gremming us out as inactive. Why it's doing that I don't know. I never coded anything like that into it.

As far as I know, it's been doing that for quite awhile, even before we moved to the new server. I believe it's a bug with the timeout tK currently employs.

That's the thing, I don't think the chat has one. That's why this problem is perplexing. It is good to know that it's something that pre-existed though. It means less code to dig through and it also negates it from being one of the patches we put into place.

You wouldn't have. He was just listing his info for us in the forum, so we wouldn't ask him the standard tech support questions. The real problem he was asking about was that the chat indicated he had left the room, when he really hadn't.

Hey Dave, or Webby. This happened awhile ago, as I clicked on refresh userlist, when I clicked it from a private room, I was sent to the Arena. And I am told, by another rper that I'm not the only one that's happened to. Can one of you guys check into that? It was totally wierd. Thanks Kit said for me to post it here.

I used to get that a long time ago back when the userlist refreshed all the time. I would go to look at a profile or change rooms and bam! Suddenly I'm in someones room going "oops!"

I'm not sure why it's doing that but you are the first person I've heard complain about it. I will need some info and feel free to PM the stuff to me. I'll need the name of the private room you're making and the password that you're using or used when the glitch occured.
